SHIRO KASAMATSU Lived from 1898 to 1991. He was Born in Asakusa, Tokyo, and became a Student of Kiyotaka at the Age of 13. He is One of the Most Highly Respected of the Shin Hanga Artists Creating Many Landscape Scenes in a Unique and Individual Style. He was Published by Watanabe then Unsodo and in the Late 1950s decided to Only Produce Self Published Works.

MIHOKO KASAMATSUwas Born in 1932 and began her study of art at only ten years old working with her father to continue the line of the Utagawa School as well as learning from Sasaki Ichiro. By 1954 she was exhibiting her work at venues including the Modern Art Exhibition and the Women’s Artists Exhibition. During the 1960s she held a number of independent exhibitions and in the 1970s traveled through Europe then focused her talents on Woodblock Prints.
